Home!

Well! Spencer's chin is healing very nicely, thank goodness. The thing that makes it even funnier is how he got the stitches out. He has a family friend that works in Orem, so we decided to go there so we didn't have to pay another ER bill just to have them take out the stitches. So we went to Brother Jacob's office...a gynecologist's office! haha. So one of the nurses took the stitches out for him. They were all kinda joking around saying he was their first male patient. It was pretty funny :)

I am now at home for a week. Spencer and I drove home late Friday night and we enjoyed the weekend at home together with my parents. Sadly he went back to Provo tonight, but I won't be going back to Provo until Saturday. I am very excited to spend some time at home, but I already miss Spencer. When you are used to spending every evening together, it is very hard to be apart. I will be very happy to go back and see him on Saturday. Things are great other than that! We helped daddy work outside and get the garden planted. Also fencing in the chickens, as they chewed a bunch of his garden down yesterday when they were out. Daddy was not a happy camper with that! haha.

I am excited to spend a week with my parents and at home. I am going to get as much wedding stuff as I can finished so I don't have to worry about it anymore. My goal is to have the invitations ready to be sent out after this week. Woot woot! Well I will keep updated hopefully and will tell all more later!

Never a dull moment!

Well I have to say that life with Spencer never has a dull moment! haha. We had quite the adventure last night when I had to take him to the Emergency Room. He was being all macho and showing us (me and a couple roommates) how he could do clap push-ups. He decided to attempt a behind the back clap push-up, as he used to be able to do that.... apparently not anymore! He came down hard on the carpet and split his chin open. I don't handle things like that well, so I started feeling light-headed. I couldn't look at it to even see if he would need to go to the doctor or not, I had to have his roommates come look! haha. Turned out that he needed stitches so I ran to my place and got my purse and we went to he hospital. Spencer was such a good sport about it all and we were laughing and joking around with the doctor and the nurses there. It was midnight and after while we were there, so there weren't too many people around. We did actually have a bit of fun while we were there. Spencer had to get 6 stitches in his chin and he has a nice rug-burn around it now. He also hit hard enough that it rattled something in his ear so he had blood behind his ear-drum. So the doctor prescribed some antibiotics. Apparently blood in the ear leads to an ear infection, so the doctor wanted to just treat that right now as well. Spencer was complaining more about his ear than his chin! haha. It is a very good thing he has a high pain tolerance. We are going to have to make some soft foods for him to eat for awhile because it hurts his ear to chew hard. He has been so great though. I would definitely not be doing as well he is. He is glad he gets this excuse to not shave now! ;) He went to work today like normal and I have to go to work today too. Mother's Day is very busy at a flower shop! I will be very happy when today is over and I can be with Spencer again so I can spoil him. He is amazing and is just such a good sport about this all. I love him :) I told him last night that I was never going to have a dull moment with him around. And I don't think I ever will!

Anxiously engaged!

Well it has been far too long since I have updated! Spencer and I have been engaged for over a month now. We got engaged March 23rd and I couldn't be happier! We are getting married July 2 in the Logan Temple and having a reception that night from 7-8:30pm at the Crosland residence in Mink Creek. I am so excited and just wish it were tomorrow, haha. We have been having so much fun together and we can't wait to get married.

As far as other things, things are going pretty well. I am a little frustrated with my car as it broke down a couple weeks ago and we put over $600 into it, and now it is broken down again! We hate not having a car as we both have jobs now and it is rather difficult trying to get to work when we don't have proper transportation. The joys of being poor college students! We are very excited to start our life together soon, though.

I have a beautiful wedding dress that I cannot wait to wear, we have all of the decorations for the reception already so now I just need to order the flowers. Things are coming together very well with the wedding and I am so grateful for that!

Spencer started work at APX Alarms a couple weeks ago doing customer support. He has really been enjoying it so far and today was his first day on his own taking calls, so I will be eager to hear how it went. I am still pluggin on at the Flower Patch enjoying arranging flowers. I love my co-workers and have lots of fun with them. I am not so excited about this week, as it s Mother's Day and that means very busy at a floral shop! But I am looking forward to May 15th, as I am going to be going home for a week to have a nice break and to finalize wedding plans. Yay!

So over-all things are going great and I am excited about life! Stressed with money, as always, but right now who isn't, really? I love being with Spencer and I am so excited for us to share our lives together. Less than 2 months now! Woot woot! haha
